Encompasses every stage of wound management, including diagnosing the type of wound, evaluating factors that influence healing, and determining the appropriate treatment. After diagnosing the wound and considering all relevant factors, we implement the most effective treatment options.
The program engages medical volunteers and staff from Bisou Bailey Dispensary, who are responsible for triaging street-connected children (SCC) on the streets of Mwanza. They facilitate transport to the dispensary for medical consultations, laboratory investigations, medication, and health promotion. On average, the program serves about 30 patients per outreach, addressing common conditions such as wounds, urinary tract infections, typhoid, worms, and skin diseases.
